Salem Vent International, Inc. (SVI) was founded in 1982, to manufacture and market the "Salem Line" of Ventilators previously made by Graham-White Manufacturing Co., since the late 1950's.  The inventor of the current Salem Ventilator and founder of SVI, Timothy A. Kelly, had previously been Sales Manager for G-W.

 

Since its inception, SVI has been the leader in the manufacture and design of fresh air ventilation products for the North American heavy truck and commercial vehicle markets.  Today, SVI is a privately held corporation, with its home office and primary manufacturing in Salem, VA.  SVI is Tier 1 and Tier 2 to major OEMs in the heavy truck, commercial vehicle, trailer and motorcycle markets.

 

SVI's primary product lines are the Salem Ventilators and the Salem Comfort Centers.  SVI also offers a wide range of complimentary products, such as Trims, Gaskets, and Screens.

 

SVI offers Contract Manufacturing and Custom Design services.  Years of manufacturing to meet automotive quality and time expectations has given SVI capabilities that far exceed the norm. At our Salem, VA facility, we offer our own Cut-To-Length blanking line, stamping capability up to 400 tons, Class "A" resistance spot welding, proven e-coat and powder coat providers nearby, as well as our dedicated assembly department. We currently participate in several OEM driven JIT programs, and can adapt to your  system. SVI is EDI capable, and can drive or participate in your design cycle, using a number of common CAD programs.

 

Over 15 years ago, SVI began its foray into Global Sourcing, with vendor relations on the Pacific Rim and in Eastern Europe.  Today, SVI has a fully staffed office in Shenzhen, PRC and a satellite office in Taipei, ROC.  SVI has been supporting OEM demands for years with these global supply chains, and we use the disciplines learned as a Tier 1 supplier to provide exception value to our Global Sourcing customers.  We have native English- and native Chinese-speaking engineers in both our US and PRC offices, and our sourcing specialists travel regularly to visit our suppliers and partner plants to ensure the quality of the products and the timeliness of the deliveries.  We currently source for ourselves and for our customers:
